Computer Down

Ella and I just got back from a wonderful trip to San Diego. Unfortunately, Greg had to stay home to study for and take his Board exams. We had a great time catching up with old friends, hanging out on the beach, and playing with cousins, aunts and uncles and grandparents. There are lots of good pictures to share, but our computer is down and I don't want to put them on our rental computer. Once we are up and running again, I'll be sure to post the latest. The hottest Ella news is that she got her first tooth on Sunday night! She is working on the second one now, and is having a bit of trouble with it all. We hope the tooth pops up soon so we can be done with this for a while.

Thumb sucking

Ella is finally using her thumb in the night, which means fewer trips to her room to replace the paci. About time!

Four Month Stats

We forgot to post Ella's most recent stats from her 4 month checkup on June 27th. She now weighs 17 pounds 2 ounces, is 27 3/4 inches long, and has a head circumference of 17 inches. She is even further off the growth chart for length, and just above the 95th percentile in weight. We are so grateful to have such a healthy child!

Ella Swims!

Ella got her first ponytail on the 4th of July. It didn't stay in long, but was pretty funny.

Ella is pretty good at floating on her back these days. In this video she doesn't really slow down and relax, but usually she will just go still and float for a while. Then she lifts her feet, or arches her back and we have to support her back to keep her from sinking herself. She LOVES the pool. Pretty much the only place she doesn't ever cry (most of the time).

First swim in the ocean

Trying on the hat from the hospital...obviously her head has grown significantly! We think she looks like a swimmer already.

First swim in the ocean. It was a little cooler (81 degrees!) than our pool, so it took a little bit for her to adjust, but she tolerated it pretty well. No tears, atleast. She prefers the pool, and has almost mastered the back float. We're going to try and get a video of that soon, and will post when we do.

Looking cute, and smiling for the camera more these days.
