If there is a heaven...

...this is what I want it to look like:

Millions, and millions, and millions of tulips stretched out almost as far as we could see. It was a gorgeous day to be outside among our flowery friends. My favorite blogger happened to be there the same day, and took some stunning photos...have a look for yourself.

Or, just look at the highlights of our trip to the Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm HERE

Quinn's Birthday Part II

These are kind of out-of-order...oh well. Blogger is plotting against me...

We had a great day celebrating Quinn's First Birthday on Saturday. We tried to do what she would enjoy...going out for breakfast, swimming in the warm indoor pool, eating cake and playing toys.

Umm, cake...

...and more cake...

...still even more. She likes the cake more than the icing.

G-ma make Quinn a book like Ella's, only different pages inside.

Quinn's Birthday, Part I

We had a mini-birthday celebration for Quinn on Sunday with the Franklins. She had her first taste of frosting...kind of amazing that our kid could go a year without frosting, but I'm pretty sure we kept her without. She seemed to think it was a bit too sweet, but loved the cake part. Her presents were thoughtfully wrapped in tissue paper because she had so much fun with it at Christmas time, however, that day she wasn't interested. Luckily Quinn has an eager sister who helped her out. And has since been on a never-ending-quest to steal Quinn's new things. I can't wait for the day when Quinn fights back!

Easter, etc.

Dying eggs with Granny and Auntie Gilly

Egg hunt
Easter Bunny

Hhhmmmmm...two of each toy, all 4 in big sisters tight grasp...Quack (Quinn's duck) and Baa (Ella's lamb) are the latest addition to the ever-growing stuffed animal collection.

We had a great (albeit wet) weekend with the Franklins. Lots of time spent inside playing Candyland, eating and drinking. Ella is in a funky anti-social, negative phase, which was quite frustrating at times, but we managed to have a joyous celebration of Gilly's 30th Birthday, Easter, and Quinn's Early Birthday.
