Pre-Father's Day Celebrating

Today we went to the Railroad Park for a ride on the carousel. Ella loves it and always does her baby sign for 'again' when the ride is over. It is just a tad bit too hot for Mom and Dad to ride the train today.

I remember this park being enormous when I was little and like to believe Ella thinks it is as dreamy as I once did.

This is her new reaction to a camera and the command, "Smile!"

Cousins

Ella was Captain of the Ship at the playground

So this is what it would be like to have 3 kids...made me think of my Mom with us girls, same age differences as the cousins

"heee-uh?"

It feels like summer

Sprinkler play

All four kids playing together

Splash park at Eldorado Pool~ totally redone since I worked there, water slides and everything. The kids were all tuckered out after all the playtime.

Ella and Max tried to have a fun bath together...Max wasn't so sure about sharing the tub with Ella. We managed and they both ended up clean.

Today Maggie and Zoe are headed back to Tucson and Alexa and Max are staying with another friend for a few days. Ella is going to be lonely this afternoon!!!

We have visitors!!!

This here would be Ella popping bubbles off of Max's forehead. She's having fun showing him the ropes of all her favorite things. And, we're having fun catching up with Alexa and spending time with our nieces. We got M & Z alone today for 7 1/2 hours and look forward to having them tomorrow for 8 1/2 hours before their mom and dad get home and spoil all our fun. Lots more pictures to put on the computer, but Ella has been waking at 5:30 recently, so no time for doodling around on the internet at 10:18pm. Good-night!

Winter in Arizona

So, I didn't take this photo, nor was it taken in my neighborhood, but snow is much more dramatic in pictures than rain. And, how do you capture "57 degrees" in a photo? So, this is Vernon, AZ where they have gotten over 7 inches of snow in the last 24 hours. And, here south of the rim, it is a balmy 57 degrees and drippy. Yes, 57 degrees. And measurable rainfall. In May. In Scottsdale. It must be winter.

**It should also be noted that on Tuesday it was 109 degrees**

We were joined for the weekend by Maeve and David, Aunt Lizzy and Gillian. We had a great time, thank you for traveling to KC and sharing in the celebration!

Picasa won't let me send an email to link the album of all our photos. If you want to see them or download any for prints, click HERE.

Kansas City

We visited the park down the road from our old house while waiting for our hotel room to be ready. It was so great to be back in the old 'hood, even though my old garden looked terrible...

But, luckily for me, the tulips were still looking good at the park and I got my fix of Spring.

We got to spend an afternoon with the Boldt family~ the kids had a great time at the Farmstead.

Although we almost lost Keegan to the goats.

Pigtails!

I mean really, have you ever seen anything quite this cute?

She even kept them in for a whole day!

Arizona Pastime

"More" in baby signs...where did the water go?

Surprised by the water shooting up her shorts

She loved watching the big kids run wildly around

We spent the morning at the Zoo and let Ella cool off at the splash park before heading home for lunch.

Moving Day

The moving truck has come and gone, we've said our goodbyes to our friends, and we're all headed out tomorrow morning. We are feeling a little sad to say farewell to the place we brought Ella home to, but are excited about our new life in Phoenix. Goodbye Florida...
