6 Months (!!!!!)

Quinn has found her toes, making sock wearing pretty annoying for Mom. But, baby shoe wearing is even more annoying, so we just pull in opposite directions on the socks all day. Could there be anything cuter than a baby rolling around holding onto her toes?

She has pretty good balance for sitting up, however she LOVES to lean forward, for a nibble on those uber-delicious baby toes. Or that pretty, crinkely pink flower or whatever she can get her hands on. We need some more work on those abs I guess.

She is growing hair!!! You can see the little halo of new-growth fuzz in this picture. Hooray for hair!

Quinn at 6 months also:
Raises her right eyebrow, like her mama
Rolls from front to back like a champ, and back to front occasionally.
Grunts when she's hungry, kind of like I imagine a cave woman would sound.
Not ready for solids yet~ Ella and I tried a taste of oatmeal the other day, and the tongue thrust was pretty fierce. So we'll just wait a while longer, probably until she can sit up on her own.
Has made the move to the big-girl bathtub. This is hilarious, must get a video of her thrashing. She even does the breaststroke with her right arm (on her back). This is also a favorite motion to avoid sleep in her crib. Constant swimming.
Takes two short naps in the morning, and sometimes a long (1.5-2 hrs) one in the afternoon. Otherwise, two short ones in the afternoon, too. It seems much less torturous this time around to have a short napper. I cursed every 30 minute nap Ella took, but 2 1/2 years has finally been enough time to just accept it! Thankfully.
Eats once a night around 2:00am. Also wakes at 10:30pm and 4:30am for a visit from Mom~ we're going to have to do something about this pretty soon here.
Seems to be getting her bottom teeth. Nothing cut through yet, but I can see the little white lines under her gums. And, she chews on everything, including me. Nice.
Is really happy, tolerant and peaceful. Loves to sit and watch Ella play, smiling and cooing and laughing when the show gets super exciting.

We go to the doctor for her well-check on the 21st, so I'll update her latest stats then. I know one thing, she's friggin' heavy to carry around all day!!!
