Writing

Ella had a big interest in writing for about a month or so. She was able to let go of her perfectionist tendencies and be happy with what she wrote. Since then, she has moved on to writing long zig-zags as notes. I'm also a tad embarassed to admit that she is also teaching herself phonics on our iPods and iPad. So much for the No Video Game rule. But, she is learning to read and write with it. Totally self-motivated~ she knows all the consonant sounds and some vowel sounds, and now some 2- and 3-letter group sounds, using those to sound out some words.
